Ordered before 3pm and it arrived in two days, discreetly packed. The Berry Runtz is unreal - smooth and exactly as described.
How to Vape HCT: Low Power, Short Puffs
Every vape in our HCT range ships on premium Cilicon SOLO 2 hardware with three selectable power levels. That flexibility is great, but with HCT liquid it comes with one golden rule: keep the power LOW. This short guide explains exactly how to set your device, how to puff, and why it makes such a difference to flavour, smoothness and how long your vape lasts.
The Golden Rule: Level 1, Never Level 3
HCT distillate is a thick, terpene-rich oil, and it gives its best at gentle heat. Run it too hot and the terpenes scorch: the flavour turns harsh, the vapour bites your throat, and the coil wears out long before the liquid is gone.
- Level 1 - recommended: the sweet spot for HCT. Cool, smooth, flavour-forward vapour and the longest life from your 2 ml of liquid.
- Level 2 - the maximum: acceptable if you prefer a slightly warmer, denser draw. Do not go beyond it.
- Level 3 - never with HCT: too hot for this liquid. It burns the terpenes, tastes acrid and can leave the coil permanently scorched.
One thing to know: we now set every device to level 1 before shipping, but devices from older stock may still arrive on level 3, the highest setting. So before your very first puff, take ten seconds to check yours.
How to Change the Power Level
The SOLO 2 is controlled with its single button:
- Click the button 3 times in quick succession.
- Watch the LED: it blinks out the level that is now active. 1 blink = level 1, 2 blinks = level 2, 3 blinks = level 3.
- Repeat the 3 clicks until the LED blinks just once. That single blink means you are on level 1 and ready to go.
The device remembers the setting, so this is normally a one-time job when you unbox it.
Short Puffs Beat One Long Drag
The second half of the rule is how you draw. Take a few short, relaxed puffs of two to three seconds each, with a pause in between, rather than one long, hard pull. Short puffs let the ceramic coil stay evenly saturated, so every draw is smooth and full of flavour. A long drag overheats the coil mid-pull, thins out the vapour and invites that dry, burnt taste every vaper wants to avoid.
Why Low and Slow Wins
- True flavour: terpenes are delicate aromatics. Gentle heat releases them; high heat destroys them.
- Smoother vapour: cooler vapour is kinder to your throat, with no bite and no cough.
- No burnt hits: low power protects the ceramic coil from dry, scorched draws.
- A longer-lasting vape: lower power vaporises the liquid more efficiently, so the same 2 ml simply lasts longer.
Using a Refillable Battery?
The same logic applies if you pair an HCT pod with our Ciliconplus FLEXA battery: stay on the lowest voltage settings, 2.2 V or 2.5 V, and leave the higher modes for thinner liquids. Low heat is what HCT wants, whatever the hardware.
Quick Checklist
- Fresh out of the box? Click 3 times until the LED blinks once.
- Vape on level 1; level 2 at most; never level 3.
- A few short puffs, not one long drag.
- Store the vape upright, away from heat and direct sunlight.
Conclusion
Set it low, puff it short - that is the whole secret to getting the very best out of an HCT vape. Ten seconds of setup rewards you with cleaner flavour, smoother draws and a vape that lasts noticeably longer. Ready to put it into practice?
